This policy explains how BP Pulse Log handles your information. BP Pulse Log is an iOS app published by Minigamr LLC ("we", "us"). "You" means the person using the app.
Summary
The readings you write down stay on your phone. They are not sent to us and we cannot see them. There is no account and no sign-in, and there is no advertising. The app does send us a small amount of anonymous information about how the app is used, so we can see which features people use and fix crashes. That information can never contain a reading, a note, or a name. You can switch it off in Settings. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask first, and it stays off until you agree.
What the app stores on your device
BP Pulse Log is a manual logbook. You type in the blood pressure and pulse readings you got from your own cuff. The app does not measure anything and does not use any sensors.
What you enter is saved in the app's own storage on your device. That can include:
- Systolic and diastolic blood pressure values
- Pulse values
- The date and time of a reading
- Any notes, tags, profile names, or settings you add yourself
All of this stays on your device. The app does not copy your readings to iCloud, to our server, or to anyone else. We never receive them, so we cannot read them and we cannot hand them to anyone.
What the app sends to us
The app talks to one server, and we run that server ourselves. No other company is involved. There are no advertising networks, no third-party tracking tools, and no software kits from other companies inside the app. The app never asks to follow you across other apps or websites, and it does not use Apple's advertising identifier.
Three things are sent, and nothing else:
- Anonymous usage events. These are short notes that say something happened, taken from a fixed list we built into the app. For example: the app was opened, a screen was viewed, a report was exported, a reminder was switched on or off, the introduction was finished, Apple Health was connected, the sample data was explored, and a limited-time offer was shown, expired, or bought. An event records that something happened, never what you wrote. There is no room in one for a reading, a note, or a name. Each event also carries your country, taken from your phone's region setting rather than from GPS or your network address, plus your device model, your iOS version, and the app version, so we can see which countries and devices the app is used on.
- Crash and performance reports. These come from Apple's own MetricKit system and tell us that the app crashed or ran slowly. They hold technical detail: where in the program the trouble happened, your device model, your iOS version, and the app version. They are sent only while Share Usage Data is switched on.
- Your purchase receipt. If you buy a subscription or the lifetime purchase, the app sends the receipt that Apple signed, together with the random install id described below, so our server can confirm the purchase is active and unlock the paid features. Receipts are sent even when Share Usage Data is switched off, because without them we cannot give you what you paid for.
The random install id
We need some way to tell one installation from another, so that a hundred events from one phone are not counted as a hundred different people. The first time you open the app, it makes up a random id and keeps it on your device.
That id is not your Apple Account, not your name, not your email address, and not Apple's advertising or device identifier. It is tied to nothing about you. If you delete the app and install it again, you get a brand new id and the old one is gone for good. It is the only identifier the app uses. We never collect an email address, a name, a phone number, or an account, because there is no account to create.
Your choices
Settings has a switch called Share Usage Data. When it is off, the app stops sending usage events and crash reports. You can change it whenever you like, as often as you like.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app asks you the first time you open it and sends nothing until you say yes. Everywhere else the switch starts on, and you can turn it off in Settings at any time.
Turning the switch off stops anything further being sent. Events that were already sent are anonymous and cannot be traced back to you, so they stay in the totals.
How long we keep it
- Anonymous usage events and crash reports: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Purchase receipts: for as long as the purchase matters for giving you the service, and for as long as our accounting records have to be kept.
- Ordinary server logs: 30 days.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
BP Pulse Log can connect to Apple Health. This is optional. It is off until you turn it on in Settings and give permission.
If you turn it on, the app can write your blood pressure (systolic and diastolic) and your heart rate to Apple Health, and read those values back from Apple Health.
That exchange happens entirely on your device, between the app and the Health app, under Apple's rules. We never receive your health data. It is never used for advertising and we never share it with anyone.
You can turn the connection off at any time in the app or in the iOS Health app under Sharing and Apps.
iCloud
The app saves one small note in your iCloud account: whether the limited-time discount offer has already been shown to you, and when it runs out. That is there so the same offer does not pop up again on your other devices. Nothing else goes to iCloud. No readings, no notes, and no health data.
Notifications
You can set reminders to take a measurement. These are local notifications. They are scheduled and delivered by your device. They do not involve a server and they do not send anything to us.
Sharing that you start
Any sharing of your readings is something you do on purpose. The app never sends them anywhere on its own. Your options are:
- Export a PDF report
- Export a CSV file
- Sync to Apple Health, if you turned it on
When you export a file, you choose where it goes: email, messages, a printer, a file app, or your doctor. Once you hand that file to another app or service, that app or service handles it under its own rules, not ours.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple. We never see your card details or your billing address. All we receive is the signed receipt that confirms a purchase was made, as described above. The full purchase terms, including renewal, trials, and refunds, are in our Terms of Use.
Your rights and deletion
Privacy laws give you the right to see what a company holds about you, to correct it, and to have it deleted. We hold nothing that identifies you, so there is nothing for us to look up. The usage events and crash reports are not stored in a way that points back to a person, and we have no way to prove that any install id belongs to you.
Here is what you can actually do:
- Delete any single reading inside the app.
- Delete the app to remove every reading, note, and profile name from your device. Once it is gone it is gone, so export a report first if you want to keep a copy.
- Turn off Share Usage Data in Settings to stop any further collection.
- Manage or withdraw Apple Health access in the iOS Health app.
- Write to us with a question or a request, using the address at the bottom of this page. We will help where we can, and we will tell you plainly when there is nothing on our side to act on.
If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR): your readings never reach us, so we do not process them at all. The usage events and crash reports are anonymous and we cannot connect them to you. Where they count as personal data in your country, our basis for collecting them is your consent, which we ask for on first launch and which you can withdraw at any time with the Share Usage Data switch. Purchase receipts are processed because they are necessary to deliver what you bought. If you email support, we process your email address and your message so we can reply, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering support requests, and you can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not done so in the past twelve months. The anonymous usage data we collect is not linked, and cannot reasonably be linked, to you or your household. Exercising your rights will never get you worse service.
Children
BP Pulse Log is intended for adults keeping track of their own blood pressure readings. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
If you email support
Our support address is . If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it only to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not pass it to anyone for marketing.
Please do not send us health records or reading data. We do not need them to help you.
This website
bppulselog.com is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare acts as our content delivery network and may process technical request data, such as your IP address, in order to deliver the pages and protect the site.
We count page views with our own self-hosted analytics. The counter is first party: no third-party analytics service is involved. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It does not record your IP address and it cannot identify you. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we do not count your visit at all.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change ever means the app starts collecting something new, we will say so plainly here before it happens.
